The Glue Family paper dolls, c. 1898

UPDATE: This IS the GLUE family. My tired eyes betrayed me, thought I read McGlue, but in fact the tiny print says Mr. Glue and Mrs. Glue!

This fragile page was found at Unshredded Nostalgia in Barnegat, N.J. The store was jam-packed with paper, posters, dolls and toys of all kinds. The thought of any paper being shredded (as age has done to the Glues) is too upsetting to ponder!

  1. These were their Scottish relatives! LOL
It sounds like a neat store. Do they have lots of paperdolls?

  2. The store is amazing, filled to the rafters with stuff! The dealer said he would be at the Allentown paper show this weekend. He had a scrapbook with several paper dolls, but he didn't want to sell parts of it, he had an idea he could get $450 in Allentown. Good luck and God bless. I paid $8 for the Glue family. A lot for a damaged sheet, but quite rare, so I went for it. Not a whole lot of paper dolls in this shop. For paper doll heaven, you need to see the paper doll convention sales room. Nothing like it. Anywhere.
